I have been making films and videos for the past 20 years. For many years I worked in 16mm, sometimes attacking the surface of the film with paint and
bleach to create abstract visuals. In the mid 90's I started to explore the line between fiction and documentary, and I made several films that depict characters wrestling with their place in the world. In 2000 I completed my first character based narrative work, At Home and Asea, about racial, geographical and class tensions in Baltimore, MD. I continue to work in the long form, and to also make shorter more experimental works. I have presented imagery in gallery contexts, as well as in conjunction with performance groups and musicians. I am always exploring how far I can stretch moving images.
